We have created a part-time position for a Knowledge Base Builder in Tagalog (Philippines language). We require an enthusiastic person with fluent Tagalog and English, to help us build the language capability within our system. Initially there will be a significant amount of translation work required, but this will develop into a knowledgebase builder job. The person must have a logical approach to problem solving, keen to learn and willing and able to work with a global team whilst focusing on computer-based tasks. The successful candidate will be creative, flexible, independent and also be able to work as a positive team player. The position requires the candidate to have a complete knowledge and understanding of English and Tagalog. The successful candidate will have space to work from their own home and have their own computer.
Training on our systems will be provided.
Someone with a linguistics or knowledge-base background would be ideal.
Translating ‘intents & phrases’ from English to Tagalog.
Participate in developing knowledgebase projects for machine learning and natural language processing.
Building and optimizing natural language processing.
Working directly with enterprise customers, assisting and supporting them to develop and fine-tune their knowledge-base.
Providing consultancy and some on-site work with our customers.
The successful candidate must be able to work closely with our customers, offering consultancy, and support. It’s important for our team members to have the ability to manage their time, resources and projects effectively and also troubleshoot problems and hurdles as and when they arise. You will become an important member of our global team with significant opportunities to grow and develop. Minimum Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years work experience and university degree required.
Proven ability to work professionally with customers and team mates.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and willing to work hard as part of the global team.
Must have good computer skills
We are also developing a language capability for the Philippines.
It would be very beneficial If the candidate has proven language experience in Tagalog.
This is a part-time position and the successful candidate will be required to work from home.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong Tagalog and English (written)
University degree in one of the following: Linguistics, Knowledge Management, Library Science, Arts or Information studies.
Excellent English & Tagalog and a passion for developing a strong and engaging solution for customers.
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (particularly with Excel)
You should have a grasp of basic html.
Experience with knowledge-base systems and an understanding of NLP would be preferred.
Experience with Python Script and/or XML is welcome but not required.
Any IT experience will be well received
