We currently have an immediate opening for an Accounting Specialist.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Record and code financial transactions to the appropriate accounts (asset, liability, equity, revenue, expense)
2.Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation.
3.Handle all assigned balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis to ensure all adjustment entries are booked in the month incurred.
4.Prepare balance sheet review/analysis
5.Analyze profit and loss statement comparing current vs prior period and prepare management report to capture areas to reduce cost and improve profit
6.Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
7.Support the month-end close by recording all necessary journal entries or necessary corrections
8.Keep up to date on QuickBooks tricks and tips and create proper documentation
9.Other duties that may be assigned by the Manager.
•Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required; accounting major required;
•Preferably a CPA but not required
•Strong attention to detail, extreme confidentiality and time management skills required.
•Ability to multitask and to communicate when behind schedule on any key tasks.
•Good interpersonal skills and intermediate proficiency in all MS Office applications.
•Proficient in QuickBooks online preferred but not required
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
