Duties and responsibilities

  • Advise Customers on best practices for network, security, hardware configuration, and infrastructure
  • Provide escalation assistance and support for advanced troubleshooting topics and Customer issues
  • Occasional after hours support for global Consulting and Support organizations
  • As needed, provide installation and deployment support for Tricentis applications
  • Provide advanced installation and troubleshooting for relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Provide advanced installation and troubleshooting for common tooling (Elasticsearch, Jira, Jenkins)
  • Advanced assistance with containerized application deployment and orchestration platforms
  • Directly interface with Product Management, Research & Development, and Engineering teams to resolve escalated issues and product defects
  • Potential onsite travel to visit customer sites (lt;5%)


Minimum competencies

  • Understanding of Cloud Native best practices
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with continuous delivery and automation tools
  • Familiarity with connecting ALMs, build servers and automation frameworks (Jira, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence) and integrating applications with the Atlassian ALM software suite
  • MSI Installer/WiX Toolset Troubleshooting
  • Experience with performance and environmental monitoring tools (Prometheus, Solarwinds)

Minimum qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Engineering or DevOps role
  • S. in computer science or software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams located in multiple time-zones

  • Experience with Linux and Windows OS administration
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience solving complex issues with enterprise systems
  • Experience using Git and related code repository platforms (TFS, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab)
  • Installation and troubleshooting experience with container deployment platforms (Docker, CRI-O, Containerd, Podman)
  • Installation and troubleshooting experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of common Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB)
  • Environmental management experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud platforms (VMWare, Citrix, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Troubleshooting experience with user authentication methods and applications (Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, OAuth, SAML, Federation Server, Okta)
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Network Infrastructures, Enterprise Firewall Configuration, Application Load Balancing, OS Firewall configuration
  • Working understanding of dotnet core framework and web server fundamentals
  • Working understanding of C#, Java, Bash, Python, or a combination of these or related languages
