Network Engineer

Description:

You will be responsible for supporting and demonstrating the company’s core products and solutions that address our prospective and current clients’ needs. You will be trained and required to take exams and certifications for your deeper understanding and working knowledge of Jump Solutions Inc. in order to articulate the company’s technology products and solutions to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
2. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
3. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
4. Performing data backups when required, protecting data, software and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures
5. Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
6. Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in I.T. or any related field of study with a network engineering focus
2. Proven hands-on network engineering experience (at least 2 years work experienced as network engineer)
3. With IT certification is an advantage CCNA, CCNP or higher)
4. Network security, LAN, and WAN experience
5. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
6. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
7. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
8. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
9. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
10. Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
