Credit Risk Officer

Description:

The Credit Risk Officer/Specialist will coordinate all financial risks related activities with business units in analyzing, monitoring, and resolving credit risk issues (credit analysis, overdue and bad debt follow up and collection, risk mitigations) within the assigned Division and ensure compliance to Worldwide Credit Risk Management Policy.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key duties and responsibilities are:

1.Supports the Credit Risk Manager in providing interpretation of the credit policy and guides them on the principles of sound credit management.

2.Reviews credit applications based on Worldwide Credit Risk Management Policy to ensure financial feasibility, accuracy and compliance. Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risks involved in extending credit.

  • Generates financial ratios using computer programs to evaluate customers’ financial status.
  • Evaluates customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
  • Completes accreditation process, including credit analyses, and secures necessary Division and Corporate approval
  • Records relevant results of credit assessment in ERP/tracking tool, including approved credit limit, approval and expiry dates, and any conditions related to the approval
  • Monitors compliance with approved credit limits, communicates renewal deadlines and proactively follows up on corrective action

3.Prepares credit reports, investigates, identifies, and solves possible issues that may arise in the process of risk management.

4.Provides input and drive continuous improvements in systems, processes and procedures.

5.Supports the OTC Manager in Delivering Key Performance Metrics (KPI)

  • Consistent delivery of key performance metrics per service level agreement
  • Looks for opportunities within the team to drive efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Ensures critical activities are delivered in the event of an emergency, disaster, or any business disruption
  • Implements process improvement that drives standardization, simplification and automation of processes to create value and deliver efficiency targets

6.Controls & Compliance

  • Creates a culture of compliance to credit policy across source and market entities
  • Manages customer business risks

7.Builds and Develops Relationship with Clients and Customers

  • Delivers quality service and results always
  • Regular coordinates to clients on the resolution of issues, project updates
  • Resolves issues on time, shares information that may have impact on their business operations
  • Regularly reports on performance, and demonstrate impactful, meaningful results



Requirements:

Education & Related Experience:

1. A graduate of any Accounting, Finance or Management course; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred and with Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) an advantage

2.Minimum 5 years working experience in credit risk and/or financial risk management in Shared Service Industry or equivalent global organization business experience

3.Solid experience in credit policy compliance, process improvements, and Service Level Agreements and KPI management.  

Salary: ₱35000 - ₱40000
