Job Description & Requirements
Knowledge and experience in Java related Technology like JDK, J2EE, XML
Knowledge and experience in PL/SQL, database.
Knowledge in Tibco Business Works and EMS is a plus,
Define and clarify project scope, business requirements analysis with stakeholders e.g. BAs, Application Domain Team; System Team; Release Team. Drive and propose system design solutions that supports the business requirements and processes.
Supervise development of high quality, multi-tiered, distributed applications based on: design specifications, established standards/ guidelines, business, functional, technical, and project requirements according to schedules and priorities.
Collaborate closely with other PMs on project priority and resource allocation based on business importance, project scope and resource skill.
Establish overall development quality standard. Drive continuous quality improvement in terms of skill training, process review and improvement with Product Delivery Improvement Team
Work closely with Development Lead in managing project scope, requirements, timeline, and resource allocation.
Initiate and implement component-development approach to effectively deploy skill-based resources to projects.
Coordinate project activities to ensure the project is on track by checking project progress, determining the cause of deviations from the plan, taking corrective actions to address deviations, inform stakeholders of the project status, and implement measures to remove the risk or lessen impact to overall project.
Update team project site with documents for requirements, impact analysis, schedule and other development and support related information.
Suggest and define guidelines and standards for best practices in development. Ensure guidelines/ standards are strictly enforced throughout the code and design reviews.
Mentor, guide, and assist others as needed throughout the product development process. Develop team members to enhance their business exposure, expertise, and professional skills enabling them to better contribute to the team. Maintain good working relationships with other teams. Conflict resolution – work to resolve conflicts as they arise.
Provide opportunities for staff to pursue deeper understanding of other technologies, OOCL business and other OOCL applications not supported by OPI. Facilitate events and procedures to enable usage of these knowledge to understand integration with other applications. Conduct info-sharing to team members.
